Green is particularly fond of opera. This season, she will gladly return to the stage of the Flanders Opera. She will play the role of ein Mдdchen in the opera Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny by Kurt Weil, directed by Ivo Van Hove. The opera will be performed in Antwerp, Ghent and at the Grand Thйвtre de Luxembourg. She will then return to the Ballet with Mozart/Concert Arias (Un Moto di Gioia), an acclaimed piece by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. This will be performed in Antwerp, Bruges and St. Pцlten in Austria. At the beginning of 2023 she will be part of Philip Glass’ Satyagraha, choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. She will sing the role of Mrs. Alexander. One can discover her voice in the recording of Astor Piazzolla’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” with the ensemble ZVEZDOLIKI where she sings the title role. The CD was released by the label Antarctica in October 2018 and was widely applauded by the music press.
With great authenticity and an innate gift for the stage, Raphaлle is quickly noticed and invited by the Thйвtre Royal de la Monnaie, the Opйra Royal de Wallonie, and the Palm Beach Opera in Florida.
In 2019/2020, she was part of the Flanders Opera’s Young Soloists ensemble.
She has worked with renowned conductors such as Alain Altinoglu, Bassem Akiki, Evelino Pido, David Stern, Antonio Fogliani, Guy Van Waas, and stage directors such as Ivo Van Hove, Damiano Michieletto, Olivier Py, John de los Santos, Michael De Cock, Junior Mthombeni and Аlex Ollй.
At ease in the most diverse repertoires, the artist is regularly invited to perform worldwide with both early and contemporary music ensembles. As of example, the company TRANSPARANT invited her to sing Zefka in Janacek’s “Diary of One who Disappeared” in a staging by Ivo van Hove at the Flemish Opera. She is also currently participating in the musical “Man of la Mancha” in the role of Antonia, a production carried by the Royal Flemish Theater (KVS), La Monnaie & the Theater of Liиge. True to her passion, she has participated in numerous masterclasses with personalities such as Anna Caterina Antonacci, Karine Deshayes, Josй Van Dam, Alain Garichot, Angelika Kirchschlager, Malcom Martineau, Elena Pantrakova, Nora Gubisch, Alain Altinoglu, Georg Nigl, Sami Kustaloglu, Noлlle Barker, Margarida Natividade, Ludovic de San and Zeno Popescu. She is currently perfecting in Paris with dramatic soprano Christine Schweitzer in Paris, and with Ouri Bronchti and Angйlique Noldus in Brussels.
In 2011, Raphaлle won the third prize at the competition “Les Nouveaux Talents de l’Art Lyrique” in Ans. In 2012, she won the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the national singing competition “Prix Jacques Dфme” in Verviers. In 2015, she won the First Prize, the Audience Prize and the Special Prize “Etй Mosan” at the international singing competition Bell’Arte in Braine-L’Alleud. The same year, she also received the International Prize at the Anniviers Festival (Switzerland). In the United States, she won the First Prize at the Gold Coast Chapter NATS Auditions in Miami, Florida, and the Second Prize at the Southeastern United States Regional Auditions in Deland, Florida. Back in Belgium, she won in 2016 the “Triomphe de l’Art” competition in Brussels, as well as the Klassiek Centraal award.
After studying Political Sciences at the University of Louvain (UCL), she continued her training in Classical Singing at the Institut Royal Supйrieur de Musique Et de Pйdagogie of Namur (IMEP). She graduated with high honours in 2014, in the class of Elise Gдbele, Ana Camelia Stefanecsu, Franзoise Viatour and Benoоt Giaux. In 2015, she joined the European Vocal Department where she continued her training in Lyric Art, notably with Patrick Leterme and Benoоt Mernier.
Then, she left for the United States, where she continued to improve herself by joining the vocal studio of Mrs. Marilyn Mims in West Palm Beach, Florida. She stayed there for a semester and sang with the Palm Beach Opera.
In Belgium, she is a member of the MMAcademy, a youth academy of the Thйвtre Royal de La Monnaie in Brussels. In 2017, she became MMAcademy Laureate.
